Korengal Valley, Afghanistan, COP Mike 1
Situation
International intelligence agencys have cooperated and worked hard to identify and locate key roles of the taliban in the Korengal Valley. They have been controlling and operating in this valley for many decades, and with the US presence it has been a lot of violent years. For this reason we need to eliminate the people responsible for creating such a violent environment and so here we are. USSOCOM has been tasked with the objective to locate and eliminate the threat in the Korengal region. In addition to that any intel found is to be brought back to base. USSOCOM has deployed an element in Mike 1 to get familiar with the region, since the terrain is quite extreme.
Mission briefing
Your mission objective is to find and eliminate 4 HVT in the Korengal Region. The objective is to move quickly and with a lot of noise. We expect the Taliban to have put ambushes and traps to make sure their HVTs have a chance to escape. At our disposal we have a CH-47 for transport and an AH-64D for escort and CAS. The Korengal Region is known for its weapon traffic and taliban control, so we can expect large amounts of enemies trying to put our plan into shambles. The helicopters therefore must take off and rearm at the US AF located far South. At the objective area's its important to locate the HVT quickly and eliminate the threat, failing to do so will result in the HVT fleeing to a safer location. We believe the HVT will leave evidence on where is safer location is.

Reinsertion will be done via helicopter
Threat Report
You will face the Taliban. You will fight an unconventional force, expect IEDs, dirty strikes and ambushes. Taliban do not have any armored vehicles, expect tehnicals at most. The enemy is dressed similarly to civilians, exercise caution. In terms of weaponry, basic old soviet equipment, no body armor. While technologically inferior, the enemy outnumbers you a lot!
- Find & Eliminate HVT
Find and eliminate the HVTs that are located in the marked towns (pictures below). As soon as the taliban is alerted they'll thry to escape to a safer location. There should be intel on the location they're fleeing to.
The HVT has to be identified! So blowing the building to oblivion with the HVT inside will result in mission failure.
