The Battle of France is slowly coming to an end, the entirety of the British Expeditionary Force and parts of the French Army has been surrounded in the Dunkirk area, yet the fight is far from over. The Allies have redeployed some of their armoured units to the Calais area, effectively stopping our advance to cut off Calais from Dunkirk. While we are gaining ground in the east, High Command is sure that if both ports stay in enemy hands, they will have better terms of evacuating.

Now more organised, we have renewed the advance; we found a gap in the lines and are now quickly approaching the sea. The enemy is constantly harassing our supply lines from both sides, and some forward armoured elements have nearly been encircled. The enemy is performing hit-and-run tactics, and we've been unable to find and defeat the more significant elements of enemy armour.

Your task will be to secure Le Carrefour Joyeuse crossroad on the “Calais Highway” from incoming attacks. Once you get reinforced, you will later be ordered to secure the town of Neville and surrounding villages to find enemy armour hiding in the area. The local French civilian population has either fled or taken up arms, be aware of guerrilla attacks.

Expect high enemy resistance in Neville; the enemy also has a mortar and AA battery in this area, threatening the “Calais Highway”. CAS support is available, although we expect the weather to worsen significantly in the coming hours, which may limit its effectiveness.

The Führer is expecting Calais to fall within three days. You are not to fail.
