World situation
Currently, there are 30 thousand Russian citizens living in Finland. Most of them live in or around the Hellanmaa region, near the Finnish-Russian border. After months of being mistreated by the Finnish population, it came as no surprise when the Russian minorities picked up weapons and formed a resistance group. The uprising caught the Finnish army with its pants down, and they lost a good amount of ground without any blood being spilt by any side. To make things even worse, Russia stepped in and is now offering political support and protection for the newly formed resistance, threatening to escalate the situation should Finland try any military offensive. With most of its options blocked, the Finnish MoD had to resort to hiring mercenaries, and that is where we, IoN PMC, come in.
Security Assignment Contract
IoN, Incorporated, hereafter referred to as the COMPANY, and the CONTRACTOR, the Finnish MoD, agree to enter into a formal arrangement commencing on the SECOND (2) Day of the SECOND (2) Month, Year UNDISCLOSED, hereafter referred to as the OPERATION.
The COMPANY requires the CONTRACTOR to deploy into the strategic Area of Responsibility in Finland; specifically, the Russian-Finnish border, Hellanmaa, hereafter referred to as the AOR, to execute the terms of the OPERATION, as follows. The CONTRACTOR agrees to infiltrate the AOR and destabilize the resistance, hereafter referred to as the ENEMY, and to additionally find any proof of the ENEMY's collaboration with Russia and/or war crimes.
The OPERATION requires the client to accomplish objectives NEPTUNE, MARS, JUPITER, VESTA, JUNO and MINERVA. The OPERATION authorizes the legitimate USE OF DEADLY FORCE within the remit of the OPERATION. The CONTRACTOR agrees to the full liability of any and all deviations from the RoE within the OPERATION AOR notwithstanding the CLIENT or COMPANY contractual addenda. Payment will be delivered by the CONTRACTOR after the successful completion of the OPERATION by the COMPANY. Should the OPERATION be extended, the COMPANY and CONTRACTOR will renegotiate the arrangement.
Mission Briefing
When the clock strikes midnight, Operation Preventive Diplomacy will begin, with its aim to destabilize the Russian resistance in Finland. There are multiple objectives in the AoR which you will have to accomplish before ENDEX. Each of these has a strategical importance, garrisons, strongpoints, caches, etc., which you will have to identify with HQ and eliminate accordingly. (Through intel, you can discover what these objectives are ahead of time). Additionally, resistance ties with Russia and any warcrimes and/or wrongdoings must be brought to light. Do your best to determine the strength of the resistance and gather information on them. You will achieve this by finding any documents on enemies, photographing any war crimes should you find them, capturing enemies and recording confessions, etc, you will have to get creative. You are currently at FOB Sisyphus, where you will organize, arm yourselves and then travel to the AO via the vehicles we have made available for you.
Your first objective is Neptune, in the town of Hoopakka, where we aim to take down two birds with one stone. There is a deserter somewhere in the town hiding (he will wear a blue beret and run to you when he thinks it's safe, as we've pre-arranged with him), who you will capture and interrogate, and the town also has a military base with a long-range radio transmitter which needs to be destroyed. Untill the transmitter is in our hands and/or destroyed stealth is recommended. Try to get as close as possible before making contact. Your next objectives will be further south, namely Nyman (Mars), Juusola(Jupiter), Kettula(Vesta), Jankos industrial area(Juno). Satelite imagery suggests these above-mentioned objectives to have some sort of enemy movement in them. We do not know what you will find there. Expect to run into some sort of patrol every couple hundred meters. You have acces to limited resupply, there are Eurocopters running civilian IFFs waiting at a nearby base to drop off ammo and medical. We are operating under a strict RoE, you are not authorized to fire any munitions that may damage civilian lives, this includes buildings and infrastructure, lethal force is authorized on any armed individuals within the AoR. RoE may change if the CONTRACTOR requires it.

Not much is known about the resistance so far, only that they have roughly 20 thousand people in their ranks. If the rumours about Russian support are true, expect them to have some decent weaponry. Report anything about the enemy's strength to HQ as soon as you find it so we can forward it to the Finnish army.
