[CLOSED] Operation Steel Heart

[CLOSED] Operation Steel Heart

Prebrief

After a constant stalemate along the front, we gathered supplies and manpower to instigate Operation Iron Wall. Even with the supplies, the margins were thin, but with the chaos that ensued, we managed to push up along the whole front, making the operation a great success!

We're now left with a major pocket of resistance in the Leskovets region. However, this has created an opportunity to destroy the large enemy force we almost managed to trap last time.

Current Situation

Our drone over the Leskovets region was shot down 28 Hours ago. Most of our intel is based on its images, but we've deployed scouts near the frontline that confirmed lesser enemy presence in and around their main supply depot in Rabsiha. They have also confirmed spotting signs of an elite enemy element. As such, we have tasked all troops with enough ammo to spare to deploy on the frontline near Rabisha to close the door for fleeing enemy troops.

At the same time, HQ has ordered multiple reserve units and one unit scheduled for transfer to regroup at the frontline and form a QRF. As supplies have been stretched due to Operation Iron Wall, it is assumed this is the best way to take advantage of the unique opportunity without allowing the enemy to flee.

Mission Briefing

Our objective will be to close the encirclement and wipe out the enemy forces. To do that, one infantry squad and one recon detachment will spearhead to finish the encirclement by capturing the city of Rabisha and taking out the main communication post there.

At the same time, two elements of the 36th Motorized Platoon and an element of the 67th Mechanized Platoon will form a QRF. They will be tasked with clearing the enemy's hard targets in the area and wiping out as many enemies as possible before they can reorganize, counterattack, or even free themselves from the encirclement. For this, we must disrupt as much of the enemy command structure as possible while keeping the speed of our advance high. Afterwards, they are to strengthen the defence of Rabsiha before other enemy forces push through to free the trapped forces.

As the infantry at Rabsiha will be under-strength, the QRF force should focus on taking down the enemy AAA locations in the sector. We can resupply the frontlines by helicopter as soon as they are taken care of.

Furthermore, two cities have been marked as major supply hubs housing enemy high-ranking officers. With the officers killed, the chance of the enemy regrouping and reorganizing becomes very slim. Also, everything recon has found is marked on the included map. These markings indicate the sighting of a depot or enemy infantry.

Although these are NOT primary targets, doing none of them can result in the enemy forces reorganizing and making a massive breakthrough, which we must prevent.

Enemy assets

The enemy attrition is currently high due to the success of Operation Iron Wall, but do not underestimate them. They still have some capable troops and enough equipment to last them for a while. This includes the sighting of at least one tank platoon. As such, you should expect frequent patrols.

Several supply depots and two fortified AAA positions have been sighted.

Enemy armoured, mechanized and motorized platoons have been sighted gathering north of Rabisha - most likely reinforcements intended to be brought in over the next few days. Take out the enemy communications post to sow chaos into this effort.

Friendly assets

Friendly forces have already surrounded the enemy. All that remains is to capture the city of Rabisha. However, these friendly forces cannot push the enemy out as their supplies are low, so expect only limited help from them.

Our assets consist of:
- 3× TOW HMMWV
- 4× M2A1 HMMWV
- 1× M1126 Stryker
- 1× UH-60 w/ ESSS & Hydra pods
