Parts of the 150th and 151st Infantry Brigade
The German army has swept us from Calais, and now the remaining French, British and Belgian forces have a last stand at Dunkirk. Our task was to hold the town of Bray-Dunes, which at that time was the west flank a few kilometres away from Dunkirk; command said we were to hold out until we got the call to retreat to Dunkirk to be finally evacuated, but that call never came.
Two days ago, the Germans finally launched the long-awaited offensive to take over Dunkirk, our lines to the south had been completely overrun, yet we managed to retreat to the coast. We waited for the enemy to advance, yet their eyes laid on the bigger prize. We cannot retreat to Dunkirk, we need to be evacuated from here, but we can’t even tell our navy we are here.
Your objective will be to push south to the town of Ghyvelde and find our previous HQ with radios capable of reaching our navy. The enemy has light and heavy artillery in this area, currently shelling Dunkirk; you must destroy them before they start shelling us. Once both objectives are completed, you are to retreat and defend the area of Bray-Dunes from the enemy counterattacks. The enemy is finishing their assault on Dunkirk, so at least you don’t need to worry about the attacks from the east until later.
Additional information

- Spawn at Bray-Dunes will be disabled during the last part of the mission. Those who die afterwards will use the ships to evacuate the remaining troops.
